Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the game:

• Account information: your username and email address. Your password is stored only as a secure one-way hash; we never see it.
• Content you create: sessions you log (activity type, duration, optional notes), the proof photos you upload, and any messages, comments, or reactions you post.
• Social activity: your friends/allies, squads you join, and duels you take part in, along with the resulting XP, rank, and streaks.
• Usage and device data: basic events such as opening the app, pressing start, and completing a session, plus whether you use the installed (home-screen) app. This helps us understand and improve the product.
• Notification tokens: if you enable notifications, the push token your device or browser provides, so we can send you alerts.
• Subscription status: if you subscribe to RankUp Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we keep only your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and whether your subscription is active.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, or health-sensor data.

• To run your account, ranks, leaderboards, squads, and duels.
• To show your activity to the people you compete with and to keep the game honest (proof and anti-cheating).
• To send notifications you have asked for (e.g., when a rival logs a session or your rank is at risk).
• To provide AI-generated coaching tips and session summaries based on your activity.
• To understand activation and retention so we can improve RankUp.
• To protect against abuse, fraud, and violations of our terms.

RankUp is a social, competitive game, so some information is visible to others by design: your username, rank, title, streak, total XP, and the sessions and proof photos you post are visible to your friends, your squads, and people you duel. Your public profile at rankup.club/profile/<username> is viewable by anyone with the link. Do not upload proof photos you would not want others to see.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that operate RankUp on our behalf: web and server hosting (Vercel, Railway), image storage (Cloudinary), payment processing (Stripe), AI processing for coaching features, and push notification delivery (Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging).
• Other users, as described in "What other people can see."
• Legal authorities, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of RankUp and its users.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual sessions in the app (which also removes the associated proof and XP). To delete your entire account and associated data, contact us at the email below and we will process your request.

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and store passwords only as salted hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and limit access to it.

RankUp is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

You can update your account details in the app, control notifications through your device or browser settings, and request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

RankUp is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. By using RankUp you consent to this transfer and processing.

We may update this policy as RankUp evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the app.
